Cat Vinton is an award-winning adventure and ethnographic photographer.
From the High Himalaya to the Arctic Circle, the Gobi Desert to the Andaman Sea, Cat has followed a passion, documenting the last of the nomadic people who still roam free, immersed in the natural world.
Outside of the Nomad project, Cat has documented expeditions, artists, brands in a myriad of projects across the globe. Recent projects have included:
- Documenting artist/environmentalist Jason deCaires Taylor’s latest sculptures in the Maldives, north Atlantic Ocean and his earlier works in Mexico.
- Sink or Swim, an initiative to teach indigenous Maldivian children to swim and become better guardians of the sea.
- A deforestation project in the dry zone of Myanmar.
- The Water/WoMan Festival, an initiative led by water conservationists and iconic watersport athletes working together to make a positive difference to our oceans.
Amongst others she has been published in National Geographic Online, The Guardian, Survival International, Oceanographic Magazine, Sirene Journal and has had many features and a cover story in Sidetracked Magazine.
Cat has exhibited in London, Paris, the Maldives, Italy and Lao, in both solo and group shows.
