Richard Waite has been photographing extraordinary locations for over four decades. His connection with the natural world and wild landscapes began along the coast of Pembrokeshire in Wales in search of sculptural rock formations created by millions of years of erosion.
So began a lifelong passion exploring wilderness and wild places that inspire and challenge with selective and graphic interpretations.
He has been published extensively worldwide across a broad range of media, including magazines, books, and advertising campaigns.
Richard has been commissioned to photograph landscapes across five continents and the results form an impressive 240-page book. ‘Terra Firma’. With two major solo exhibitions at London galleries. Including images from Australia, Arizona, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Iceland and Utah.
More recently, he has completed trips to Patagonia, Namibia and the Dolomites in Italy. Many of the trips include aerial photography working from a combination of Helicopters, light aircraft and drones.
