The Tibetan people have named their land: KANGJONG / KAWEHEN The land of snows. Four of the longest and most important rivers (Chu in Tibetan) of the world flow from Tibet: the roof of the world; initially following the cardinal points of the compass. Their ancient way of life is rooted in the land and the herding of yak. The herdsmen leave no trace and have the lightest touch on the land – they use every part of the animal and they move with the seasons letting the land recover.
